woom balance bike from sibling to sibling

MY FAVORITE PURCHASE FOR MY KIDS...

…has been this adorable woom balance bike. I bought it back in 2021 for Christmas for Milo (my oldest), and now baby brother Dayton is learning to ride it at 20-months-old!

Go read the full story here, but it took Milo a four months to get excited about the balance bike. Once he was into it, though, he LOVED it. I mean..

How was this just a year ago? I took him to see the Austin bats and he rode his woom 1 balance bike up and down SOCO.

And now little brother Dayton is riding the exact same red woom 1 balance bike.

Today’s post is sponsored by woom! I love talking about these award-winning balance bikes that my family loves SO much. I seriously hope this inspires you to invest in one for your child!

I look at how many hours we’ve gotten out of this thing, first with Milo riding it and now with Dayton taking his turn on it. And how the boys are developing a life-long love of bike riding. It’s one of the best ROI toys I’ve purchased.

I love how determined the second sibling is, y’all. This baby is only 20-months-old and he’s already flying on this thing. He’s been watching his big brother ride the balance bike his entire life, so now he’s like, “it’s my turn!”

These bikes are so beautifully made. I love getting investment pieces for my kids that I know will hold up for years and years. We’re now in our third calendar year with this bike, and it’s sturdy and strong and providing hours and hours of entertainment for these little boys.

love love love this balance bike! It’s an award-winning model that’s super lightweight (only 6.6 pounds) so Dayton can easily lift it by himself.

And the little tires are just 12 inches! Perfect for kids as young as 18 months.

I think the fact that it’s SO tiny is what helps Dayton show interest in it. I mean, he would ride a bigger bike if it was around (Lord knows this child is determined to do anything his big brother does!), but since the woom 1 is easy for him to steer, lift, and manage, he’s completely unafraid to give it a try.

That little face in that precious blue helmet. Be still my heart!

The only down side to him loving this woom 1 balance bike is that any time we go to the garage to get loaded in the car, he gets distracted and points to his bike and asks to ride it…making getting buckled in the car seat NOT so much fun. Haha.

We have a million hours of riding bikes together in our future. I love that the boys are getting an early start and learning the joys of bike riding!

I also think it’s pretty cool that after my husband’s car accident he’s still able to ride a bike. Nate’s not able to do certain things like run, ski, snowboard, surf…so there are plenty of family activities that are out for us.

But family bike rides? We are SO there.
