Friday!!! And SUPER BOWL WEEKEND!! Haha…does anyone else care exactly zero about football yet absolutely love Super Bowl parties? 😉 I love the excuse to eat snacks for dinner (which is honestly how I live my life most days…), fun gatherings with neighbor friends, the anticipation of the halftime show.
Anyway…
As we head into the weekend, I wanted to share five little things that are bringing me joy right now.
ONE
^ Y’all, this swimsuit right here gets compliments every time I wear it. I’m not kidding! Just yesterday I wore it to Emler for Dayton’s little baby swim lesson, and someone commented on it. It’s just a really flattering swimsuit. It’s long torso friendly and 100% mom friendly.
I don’t know about you, but I’m loving one-piece suits right now. I mean, I will still totally rock a bikini if the time is right, but when I’m chasing my toddlers around, I love having a suit that stays in place. THESE SUITS have been my go-to for over a year now. They’re a little bit on the pricy side, but they hold up really well and I’m not kidding you: every time I wear one I get asked about the brand!
Anyway, if you have any upcoming spring break trips and you want to invest in a beautiful suit, I now own a few of these and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.
One more thing about The Maria suit: since it has a pretty back and a flattering mesh neckline, I totally just pull some shorts over it and rock it as an outfit. I wore it to a meal when we were on our Disney cruise last week!
(By the way: for those of you who are local here in Austin, they have a location at The Domain now. Kind of nice if you’re the type of person who likes to try stuff on at the store before buying.)
TWO
Y’all! Nate and I are watching ANDOR right now on Disney+ and holy moly. It’s sooo good.
I’m not really a huge Star Wars person. There are a ton of movies and series in the Star Wars saga that I’ve never watched (and never will.)
And honestly, I wasn’t even all that excited about this one, but Nate and I were having trouble finding a new show to watch and he was excited about this one, so I basically said, “I’ll give it a try.”
And now I’m obsessed.
We only have 2 episodes to go! Thankfully it’s a pretty long series. Have you watched it yet?
THREE
Woohooo!! My new favorite thing that we’ve started! I signed up for a membership for an in-home pediatric service. I just feel like taking my boys to the office was taking up way too much time, and it always felt kind of icky to bring them in for a standard check-up of vaccines and then have a bunch of truly sick kiddos just a few feet away. Lord knows my kids get sick enough as it is!
Anyway, Ascend has been so great. I love them so much. They even gave me a code for y’all to use in case you’d like to try the membership for 6 months at no cost! (The doctors appointments will all just bill through your insurance, exactly like it’s done at the pediatrician’s office.)

FOUR
You know when it’s 7 pm and you finally got both boys bathed, dried off, dressed in jammies, and all ready for bed…
…and then you walk into the bathtub and find out the baby got back into the draining water? FULLY DRESSED?
I can laugh about it now. 😉 Gosh I love this little goober.
FIVE
Perhaps the most random of all five, but have you tried these little candies? They were on an endcap at HEB and I picked them up (because I’m a sucker for marketing and decision fatigue is literally a real thing, even at the grocery store.)
They’re sweet candies with a chili lime/sea salt filling. I bought two bags and love them! They’re all sweet and “normal” hard candy on the outside, and then you get to that tangy/spicy/salty interior and it’s just yum.
Aaaand yet one more reason why HEB is the greatest grocery store.
