My life here in Austin is full of kids, hot (!!) summers, and a fast-paced schedule. I like my home to make space for all of those things.Â
Anyday
Microwave cookware sounded real weird to me, too. I mean, aren’t microwaves supposed to be dangerous or something?!Â

I’ve bought, I think…six of these rugs now? They’re a no-brainer for life with kids when my rugs are constantly covered with spilled strawberry yogurt and purple crayons.

Self care IS selfish, and that’s not a bad thing! The word selfish literally means to be “concerned with one’s own profit” which is what you should be when it comes to your physical, mental, and spiritual health.Â
And it’s not always a bubble bath and candles (although it can be!). Self care is often a commitment, a boundary, or a sacrifice. But it’s rarely marketed that way. Sometimes it involves some real work.
Here are a few of my favorite things that help me take care of my body, my mind, and my soul so I can show up better for the most important people in my life.Â
