My Favorite Local Austin Boutiques

Local Austin boutiques are high up on my “love list.” They keep Austin weird, filling it with all sorts of locally made candles, funky pieces of art, and unique Austin gifts that you can’t find at any of the big chain stores. I’m providing you with a map of all of my favorite local Austin boutique stores so you can find one near you and enjoy some shopping!

COVID UPDATE: most of these stores are open for shopping, but many of them also offer curbside pickup or online ordering + shipping. As safety precautions change, pick the one that’s right for you – and keep on supporting local, Austin!

{Note: browse the map above to find the website links and addresses.}

Good Company: a local, neighborhood woman’s clothing shop in Austin. You can find much more than clothing, though! Shop for wall decor, candles, gifts, jewelry, hats, furniture, and more.

Prima Dora: unique Austin gifts, souvenirs, and accessories from local artists.

Embellish Nails and Boutique: this sweet shop has manicures AND shopping! It’s a great place to pick up some unique jewelry and clothes, or a thoughtful gift card to wrap and give to a friend.

The Mercantile at Mill + Grain: Buda has some sweet little shops, and this one is one of my favorites for home, gifts, accessories, and beauty. It’s a sweet place to browse and enjoy the shopping experience. (And then stop for some cake afterward!)

Loot Finer Goods: this is a stunning store to shop for high-quality, unique items that you’ll keep forever like rugs, clothing, decor, and furniture. (They have all sorts of vintage, fair trade, and custom items, too!)

Atown: if you’re looking for some fun and funky gifts from a local Austin shop, Atown is probably exactly what you’re thinking of! It’s the perfect stop for unique Austin souvenirs and memorable gifts.

Succulent Native: if you’re buying for a plant lover, Succulent Native is a local Austin plant store with gorgeous succulents, arrangements, and virtual workshops.

Uptown Modern: the place to go for midcentury modern furniture in Austin. My husband and I have found some of our most cherished furniture pieces here!

Lilla & Beth: gifts, home accessories, clothing, and more at this fun store in Mueller.

Wood & Rose: absolutely gorgeous clothing, handbags, jewelry, and more in this modern store on North Lamar.

Charm School Vintage: per the name suggests, this charming little store has a great collection of vintage items – plus a hair salon and wig shop!

East Austin Succulents: an open-air cacti and succulent store with beautiful arrangements.

Blue Elephant: handmade jewelry, high-end beauty products, and custom-made gifts.

Triple Z Theadz: my favorite part of this store is the irreverent art & decor…it’s made for some great white elephant gifts! Also plenty of vintage shirts and gift ideas.

Wildflower Organics: stunning home and bedding textiles. The entire store is one big look book full of touch-and-feel walls and beds with the dreamiest quilts, creamy duvets, colorful sheets and blankets, and more.

Take Heart: you’ll find home and personal gifts at this East Austin boutique. If you want some thoughtfully-curated items, this is your store.

Amanda Deer: this darling Austin jewelry boutique specializes in “dainty, everyday jewelry.”

STAG: a men’s store with clothing, candles, jewelry, and accessories.

Slow North: if you’re buying for someone who’s into simple, whole living, go to Slow North for soy candles made from essential oils and other botanical goods.

Luxe Apothetique: Austin’s premier women’s boutique with clothing, accessories, jewelry, and more.
