An Indoor Play Space In Austin

We need more of these places in the summer months, y’all! Woof! It hit 100 degrees and I immediately booked a play session at Play Street Museum. They actually have locations all over the country, but this is the first one in Austin.

If you’ve been to Pikopye’s Town on Manchaca, it’s a similar concept. The difference here is that play sessions are 90 minutes (instead of 2 hours) and parent/guardians are free (yay!).

We got there 5 minutes before our play time began and the boys were *literally* bursting at the seams to get into the play space. Milo spotted the fire truck and told me he was going to go there first.

Dayton found the bakery and ice cream shop pretty quickly. I love that everything is toddler-sized! He carried this chair all over the place, haha.

This is what it looked like right when we arrived. It definitely did NOT look that tidy at the end of the 90-minute play session! Playing here feels a bit like the relaxation you get from eating at a restaurant…the meal is done and you don’t have to do any of the dishes. Bliss. We finished playing and left and I didn’t have to worry about getting the boys to help me tidy up. (They do enough of that at home!)

Anyway, if you need a fun indoor summer activity for toddlers in Austin, be sure to book a play session at Play Street Museum. And if you want more indoor activities in Austin for kids, here’s a good list.
