I’ve been living in Austin Texas for YEARS and I still love going out and standing like a tourist in the front of the “I Love You So Much” mural on South Congress. (It’s located on the side of Jo’s Coffee, btw!) Tip from a local: there’s a new mural across the street from this one with Tom Petty lyrics! Knock out two for one, and then walk across the street to Soup Peddler for some fresh squeezed juice.

Tip from a local: if you’re having trouble finding it, the Willie For President mural is on the side of STAG Provisions for Men.

Tip from a local: this is a little bitty mural, but it’s a fun place to do an engagement shoot in East Austin.

Tip from a local: there’s a little selfie stand in front of this one, so it’s an easy place to go solo and get a great picture!

Tip from a local: it took me so long to find this one! Lots of people geotag it on instagram as Magnolia Cafe, but it’s actually on the north wall of Prima Dora gift shop.

Tip from a local: This cartoonish bullfrog is right by UT campus…prepare yourself for a stampede of college kids with oversized backpacks at any moment during your photo shoot.

Tip from a local: there’s not a lot of parking here. This blue Austin wall is best photographed if you’re already walking through the area.
The Contemporary Austin White Wall

Tip from a local: put your iPhone on wide angle for this one – this wall is huge and pictures look best if you can capture the whole thing.
ATX Sign at Whole Foods
525 N Lamar Blvd
Tip from a local: since this grocery store is downtown, the easiest parking is at the grocery store. If you’re visiting Austin, it’s worth stopping by this Flagship Whole Foods, grabbing lunch, and then taking a picture at the sign on your way out.

Tip from a local: You can see the famous railroad graffiti if you’re walking on the Lamar Pedestrian bridge facing north.

Tip from a local: this one is in Clarksville, a neighborhood right next to Downtown Austin. It was painted by Daniel Johnston, the same musician-artist who did the Jeremiah the Innocent mural on The Drag.

Tip from a local: the rainbow stripes mural is tucked away on a small street, so there’s never anyone there. It’s a good place for influencers to do outfit photo shoots in north Austin.
Tau Ceti
Corner of E 2nd and Brazos
Tip from a local: this is the tallest mural in Austin that you can stand right in front of! It makes for an amazing instagram pic if you happen to need a mural in downtown Austin.
