Summer is nearly here, and I’ve been on the hunt for comfortable one piece maternity swimsuits under $30, which has proven to be a bit tricky. I love wearing one-piece pregnancy bathing suits during this season of life, because unlike my first pregnancy, I have a rascally little toddler to chase around this pool this year. And while I was hunting for sturdy, flattering, and comfortable suits under $30, I realized that a lot of you are probably in the same boat and want this info, too.
During my first pregnancy, I really loved wearing cute bikinis and 2-piece suits! It’s just nice to have less constricting fabric during the third trimester. But like I mentioned, this time around is a bit difference since my first baby is 18 months old and sooo busy! Ha! The neighborhood pool is our favorite place to hang out on a hot day, and I knew that I’d want a few more cute swimsuits to get through the rest of this third trimester.
THE BEST ONE-PIECE MATERNITY SWIMSUITS UNDER $30
HERE ARE THE DETAILS:
Every single one of these one-piece maternity suits is under $30.
All of them are from Amazon (hello, free 2-day shipping!)
For size reference, I’m 5’7 and my pre-pregnancy size is small/size 4. I tried on these swimsuits at the start of my third trimester, and they’re all size small. So order the same size in these maternity suits as you would wear pre-pregnancy.
DUE IN *INSERT MONTH* ONE PIECE MATERNITY SUIT
Why? SO comfy and flattering, sturdy on top, and makes for a super cute photo op!
I am seriously obsessed with this one-piece maternity suit! I’ve worn it a bunch of times already and always get fun remarks about it! (It’s kind of fun to be a walking billboard for your due date, plus it helps people avoid the awkward “I know she’s pregnant but I also know I’m not supposed to ask until she brings it up…” situation, ha!).
This is a must-own maternity swimsuit.
SUN'S OUT BUMP'S OUT MATERNITY SWIMSUIT
Why? Cute for a photo op, but no padding in the top and it felt flimsy for actual swimming.
This is one of the cutest maternity suits I ordered, and I was so excited when it arrived! I love the bright blue color and the text. But when I put it on, it felt cheap and flimsy. There’s literally no padding at all in the top half, so I didn’t feel like I had enough support. So while this is a cute swimsuit for a photo op at the beach or pool, it’s not my top pick for a sturdy suit to wear if you’re needing that.
LEOPARD PRINTED CROSS BACK ONE-PIECE MATERNITY SWIMSUIT
Why? SO cute and flattering, and it feels very sturdy.
If you want a flattering, comfortable, and sturdy one-piece maternity swimsuit, get this cutie! The leopard print is adorable, and the padded top and cross-back straps make the top half feel really sturdy for a third trimester pregnant body. This is one of my favorite maternity bathing suits I’ve found!
CHERRY HALTER TOP ONE-PIECE MATERNITY SUIT
Why? Adjustable chest drawstring means it fits multiple cup sizes. Cute and sturdy suit!
ONE-SHOULDER MATERNITY SWIM SUIT
Why? It’s unique without being overly difficult to put on or wear. Love the one-shoulder look!
You’ll get lots of compliments in this beautiful maternity swimsuit! (Psst: check out all the other pretty pretty available!) The one-shoulder look can easily be adjusted to two-shoulder with a removable strap. The flouncy top is just so pretty, and entire suit provides great coverage and support. I will say that’s it’s just a teeny bit less sturdy than a standard two-strap swimsuit, but it still holds up really nicely when I’m spending the day at the pool with my toddler.
DEEP V HALTER TOP MATERNITY SWIMSUIT
Why? Really thick and sturdy fabric on this one, plus lots of cute prints available.
Ok, the price has gone up on this one since I ordered it and now it’s slightly more than $30. But I still think it’s a bargain! This is a gorgeous maternity swimsuit with lots of different prints available. The small fits nicely now (I’m 34 weeks pregnant as I write this) and I love the pretty halter top!
STRIPED HALTER MATERNITY SWIMSWUIT WITH UV PROTECTION
Why? Cute and comfy, but I didn’t love the way the stripes stretched over my bump.
As far as fit and style go, this one is a clear win. It’s really comfy and cute! The thing I didn’t love about it is the striped print; the stripes stretch extra big over the widest part of my belly, which isn’t a look I love for myself. Plus, the white stripes were a bit see-through, and that was before it even got wet! I do appreciate that it has extra UV protection, but overall this one wasn’t a win in my book because of the print. If it is ever available in other color, I’d love it!
TIE-FRONT LEMON MATERNITY SUIT
Why? Sweetest pattern, double lined, and tie-front makes it adjustable at the chest.
Aww! This lemon print is giving me all the heart eyes! It’s a tie-front style, so you can adjust it to fit your chest size. It’s a white suit, but double-layered in the front so it didn’t seem see-through at all to me. I love the fit and style of this one.
Also, check out that price! This baby is super inexpensive and a fun swimsuit to add to your maternity collection.
FRONT CROSS MATERNITY SWIMSUIT
Why? A really unique front-cross shoulder strap makes this suit one of my favorites!
Here’s another unique option if you’re looking for an inexpensive, show-stopping swimsuit for your third trimester. It’s so beautiful in real life! I love the vibrant blue, the cross straps, and the overall feel of this maternity swim suit.
The first time I put it on I had the straps cross in the back (instead of the front) and didn’t realize it was wrong until I looked at the website image. So you could totally wear it both ways! It’s one of my favorite one piece maternity swimsuits under $30.
RIBBED MATERNITY ONE-PIECE SUIT
Why? The top half was flimsy and the entire suit felt cheap.
I’m not a fan of the fit of this one. There are plenty of maternity swimsuits under $30 that are sturdy, but this (sadly) isn’t one of them. The top half felt flimsy and the buttons didn’t line up correctly.
The one benefit to this one is that there are 4 snaps at the chest, so if you’re breastfeeding and want a maternity suit to accommodate your newly postpartum belly, this suit would work nicely for that. (I know that I wore maternity clothes for the first 6 weeks after giving birth while my body slowly shrunk back!)
