Moving right along to quirky east Austin… I love this part of town for its eclectic assortment of every type of restaurant imaginable. East Austin offer’s some of Austin’s best BBQ, Italian, Mexican, Peruvian, farm-to-table, breweries, gelaterias, bakeries…and way more! Here are a few of my personal favorite happy hours for food, deals, ambiance, and service.

1. Salty Sow
This tops my list because the food is so good, the happy hour happens every day (even weekends), and the prices are wicked awesome! Be sure to try the duck fat fries (order several for the table), truffled deviled eggs, and honey rosemary dipped fried chicken with homemade biscuits.

2. L’oca D’oro
Family-style Italian food that’s sourced locally and prepared beautifully. The happy hour is only at the bar and patio, but I love both of those areas in this gorgeous restaurant.

3. Whislers
Find some of Austin’s best cocktails at Whislers, and then head outside to Thai-kun food truck (from the East Side King team) for some spicy food if you get hungry!

4. Monger’s Market + Kitchen
One of the best happy hours if you just want to EAT all the foods! Monger’s offers a bunch of small plates for $6. It’s a great place to share food with friends!

6. Il Brutto
Enjoy half off the entire drink menu at this pretty E 6th Italian restaurant. Their sprawling patio is one of my favorite places in east Austin.

7. Yuyo
If you’ve never experienced Peruvian food, Yuyo’s happy hour is a great place to try! Order the yuca croquettes, pork bao buns, and crispy calamari with yuca fries.

Ahh, I love this place! It feels like you’re hanging out at a very classy, trendy, clean Texas ranch. The restaurant is all outdoors (although some of it is covered), making it perfect for the mild Austin spring and fall.

Perfect way to unwind after a long work day? Indulging in comforting southern food at this ranch-to-table restaurant. The all-night happy hour on Tuesday ensures you’ll be able to stay late enough to watch the sun set over the Colorado River.

11. Unit D Pizzeria
Unit D has some of the best pizza in town….but they don’t put that on their happy hour. Show up early to dinner, enjoy some discounted drinks at the bar, and then be sure to stay and nosh on a couple pizzas, too!
