There’s a little food truck in South Austin that is turning out some seriously impressive Italian pasta. I stumbled upon this place when I was scrolling through instagram one day, and as soon as I went to the truck and tasted the pasta, I knew I had to share it with you!
The owner is from northern Italy and moved to Austin to start this food truck. All of the pasta is handmade (scrumptious!) and the sauces are also made in house.
This isn’t Americanized Italian food…it’s Italian-Italian food. For instance, the Lasagna is true lasagna alla bolognese made with rich, creamy béchamel and Parmigiano Reggiano and homemade egg noodles.
A lot of the menu is mix-and-match, but there are plenty of menu “favorites” that are order-ready. I loved the tagliatelle with meat sauce, the gnocchi in butter and cream sauce, and the casarecce with pesto. Pesto is the best Italian summer flavor, in my opinion!
