Kid-Friendly Brunch Spots In Austin
Let's be real: brunch with kids isn't the same easy-breezy, laid-back experience BUT I do find myself eating brunch with my kids in Austin a lot! Whether it's for a special occasion like mothers day or we're just gathering with the in-laws for a Sunday meal, I end up going out on a Sunday morning a lot!
This isn't a random comprehensive list of EVERY kid-friendly brunch place in Austin - it's just my favorites where I tend to go as a local. If I missed any of your favorites, comment at the bottom of the post and let me know!
Kid-Friendly Brunch Spots In Austin
Sour Duck Market
The GOAT when it comes to kid-friendly brunch spots in ATX! It's a farm-to-table outdoor spot that's related to Odd Duck, but Sour Duck is wayyyy more kid-friendly. I love being able to order from the QR code at the table (way easier w/ kids!) and the play space is fun for little ones.
1814 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd
Vista Brewing
Make the (short) drive to Driftwood for Vista's Sunday brunch! Definitely more elevated than typical brewery food, and the playground is SO great with kids!
13551 Ranch to Market Rd 150
Toasty Badger
Diner food is just SO good with kids! My boys always go crazy for the giant pancakes and thick slices of bacon. I love Toasty Badger for those retro 70s vibes - such a cute little brunch spot in Austin.
2206 S Congress Ave
Bouldin Acres
Bouldin Acres is an easy spot for brunch with kids since they have the awesome playground and they're literally advertising themselves as a family-friendly spot. The Sat/Sun brunch has a lot of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and tacos...easy stuff to munch on while watching kids nearby.
2027 S Lamar Blvd
Day Maker Half Day Cafe
Ahhh I LOVE LOVE LOVE this spot! Day Maker is a half day diner so they're open for brunch EVERY day! Obsessed with their migas, and then they have fun things like churro pancakes and s'mores waffles that kids always find fun. Super casual spot so noisy-ish kids and spills and such aren't such a big deal.
1101 S MoPac Expy
Kerbey Lane Cafe
An Austin classic, and my kids are ALWAYS down for brunch at Kerbey Lane! Psst: while the chocolate chip pancakes are the kids' favorite, make sure you don't sleep on the seasonal entrees for adults.
Multiple locations
Jack Allen's (Oak Hill location!)
Jack Allen's brunch menu is ALWAYS a good idea, but I especially love the Oak Hill location when I'm brunching with kids. There's a big outdoor patio and it just feels more spacious and less stuffy there. Pancakes for the kids, barbacoa eggs Benedict for me!
7720 State Hwy 71 West
Don't overthink it! Just pick one of these option, head out, and enjoy a day out in Austin with your kids.
