Happy Friday!

Here are 5 restaurants I’ve tried in the last few weeks, and I think you should give them a shot, too! Two of them are brand new, two have been around for a while, and one of them is ancient. 😉

5 Restaurants You Need To Try In ATX

1. For A Bumble Date: Bar Peached

Can’t stop won’t stop singing praises of the newest concept from Peached Tortilla! Bar Peached is a little Clarksville bar food concept from chef Eric Silverstein. Go for the Matcha Udon Noodles, Duck Confit Foldies, and cocktails! (Psst: be sure to check out the social hour from 4-6:30 for some special prices on food and draft cocktails.)

2. For a healthy weekday lunch: Tio Pepe

Tio Pepe's Portuguese-grilled chicken in Austin Texas

Tio Pepe is the new Portuguese-style chicken grill at The Linc. Loved the grilled chicken + veggies, the wings, and the 6 styles of Peri-Peri sauce (I tried mild, medium, and hot, but I couldn’t make it to extra hot!) It’s a great option for a healthy weekday lunch.

Tio Pepe is located right by the new Easy Tiger location, so you can check out both of them on the same trip!

3. To cure your sweet tooth: Sugar Mama’s

The Ultimate Guide to the Best Cookies in Austin

Sugar Mama’s won Food Network’s Cupcake Wars in 2013, so a cupcake is always a pretty safe bet here… But recently, I’ve been stopping by to get the Everything Cookie, a glorious gluten-free dessert full of chocolate chips, m&ms, oats, and peanut butter.

4. Just in case you’ve never been: Quality Seafood

I randomly stopped by Quality Seafood when I was hanging out with my friend Caitlin a few weeks ago. She’s been living in Austin for several years and had never been, and I said we needed to fix that…stat!

Quality Seafood has exactly zero frills. Zero. It’s a pretty ugly restaurant (haha), but the seafood is quality and it’s a great place to dine in or get some fish to cook at home.

They’ve been open since 1938. If you’ve never been, add this one to your bucket list! Every Austinite needs to be able to say they’ve been at least once.

5. For a delicious vegetarian meal: Citizen Eatery

Yum! Whether you’re vegan or not, you’ll find some delicious, plant-based eats at this North Austin restaurant. Psst: they serve breakfast all day, too!
