Every Day Is Worthy

I started this blog when I wanted a place to talk about my super exciting, adventurous life! Umm, since graduation, I have:
  • lived in the same suburb of Chicago, in the same house, doing the same things (minus the school work)
  • babysat for 20-30 hours per week
  • practiced violin in the same practice room in the conservatory
  • watched a full season of Grey’s Anatomy (season 2)
Jealous?
I want these 3 weeks to end.
But I started thinking about it: these 3 weeks, as boring as they may be, are 3 weeks of my life. I can’t possibly wish them away! Even if I’m not doing super exciting things, I want to take joy in every little moment!
Here was my yesterday, in the form of pictures:
My summer Starbs choice is a grande unsweetened green tea lemonade
Morning coffee date with Elle, my freshman and senior year roomie, and one of my best college friends. Even though we’ve both been here since graduation, I never see her.

Then I drove 5 minutes to my first nanning job of the day. Since I didn’t wake up early enough for a workout, I pushed them to the far park and purposely took the hilly route. Omg I’m such a mom….
My view for my “workout”
Even though I don’t looooove nannying, I can’t help but admit that this guy is PRECIOUS.
Little brother who likes to pretend he’s the oldest child.
Please notice what someone wrote on the inside of the playground.  Bahahaha.
We stopped on the way home to watch a driveway being torn apart by this little truck. May I say that I was just as amused as the boys? SO COOL.
I finished nannying and got home to discover this on my doorstep! Yay for new music! I can’t wait to learn this sucker.
Go listen to it right here. Do it. Seriously. It only takes 9 minutes and it will Blow. Your. Mind.
Tzigane by Ravel
And some new rosin! This excites me greatly. For real.

Then it was time for a late lunch: a Green Monster smoothie! 1 cup soy milk, 1 Tbs flax, 1 frozen banana, and 2 handfuls fresh spinach. Blend and INHALE!

The day ended with another 3 hour nanny job, then a goodbye party for a college friend who is moving to Austin TX.

So there you have it! That’s a typical day for me. While it’s easy to say that I’m “killing” time until summer festivals start, I’m striving to savor each moment (including yesterday morning when Becket marched into the middle of the backyard, pulled down his pants, squatted, and took a big dump. The dog looked so confused) and enjoy the things that aren’t unusual or exceptionally exciting.

Psalm 118:24 “The Lord made today; let’s rejoice and be glad in it!”
