Washington, DC

cutest. ever!

Isn’t this lovely? It’s the view over the Potomac river during our 1.5 mile walk from Erin’s apartment to Gergeotown. Can you see the Washington Monument in the distance?

We tried to go to Georgetown Cupcakes (TLC’s show “DC Cupcakes is filmed here!) but the line was out of control, even before it was open! We hit up Baked and Wired instead, which is a bakery/coffee shop….

….known for unashamedly advertising their large…cupcakes.

LOVED THIS PLACE!

Have you heard of food trucks? They’re all over D.C. It’s basically a portable restaurant. They have everything: mediterranean, cajun, bakery, salads, falafels…and CapMac! We went to the website and tracked it down. Ah-maze-ing.

The afternoon was spent at a couple Smithsonians with Lauren. Moment of truth: I hate museums. But I went, just to say I had gone. There are 19 (!!) Smithsonians, so we picked Air & Space and Museum of National History.

 Oh hey there:

The evening concluded with dinner at Taj of India, which was an odd choice since Lauren doesn’t like spicy and I don’t like curry… But we both loved our dishes. I have GOT to start trying new food more often!
